Christine Buffle is a dedicated, highly reliable, and widely respected prompter with experience in opera and music theatre productions. A former professional singer, she brings deep musical insight, a performer’s perspective, and in-depth knowledge of a singer’s physical, artistic, and vocal demands. Known for her exceptional memory, extraordinary precision, and highly appreciated by artists for her empathetic, supportive presence, she 

combines this with extensive operatic repertoire and the ability to cover missing roles when needed, thus providing seamless musical and dramatic continuity for productions. Fluent in English, French, German, and Italian, she is a superlative communicator, trusted by international casts and creative teams alike. 

Christine  was born in Britain and raised in Switzerland, training at the Conservatoire de Musique in Geneva, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and the International Opera Studio in Zurich. 

She is currently based in Berlin where she holds a full-time position as prompter and language coach at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. Christine has also served as prompter for the Bayreuth Festival, working closely with Semyon Bychkov on Wagner's Tristan und Isolde.
